The Old Smiddy Guest House bed & breakfast and the self-

The owners of the Old Smiddy, Julie and Julian, gained 4 stars in Visit Scotland’s quality assurance scheme for B & B’s in their first year.
We strive to provide a genuine and warm welcome, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to enjoy the delights of the wonderful countryside of the Scottish North West Highlands.
Julie is committed to serving delicious,
high quality breakfasts and, if required, evening meals, using local and regional produce wherever possible.
This area of Wester Ross abounds in spectacular scenery and a wide variety of wildlife, as well as being rich in history,
Laide and Mellon Udrigle, Aultbea and Loch Ewe, Gairloch, Inverewe Gardens and Ullapool are all worthy of at least a days visit Further information can be found on the sites of the two local tourists associations, namely Celtic Fringe and

The Bungalow, now the self catering, at the Old Smiddy
was built about 1980 by a former owner of the Old Smiddy.
This property now has a modern kitchen, a new family bathroom
and an ensuite shower room for the master bedroom.
Completely rewired, the Bungalow now enjoys central heating with the added bonus of solar tubes.
The renovations were completed by replacing all the
furniture and kitchen equipment with high quality, easy to use and comfortable products.
