A selection of fresh fruit juice.
Cereals or muesli.
Warm fruit compote.
Porridge made from local stone-ground oatmeal.
The above are served with fresh milk,
fresh double cream and brown sugar
or yoghurt.
Traditional Scottish breakfast of locally produced sausages, Aultbea black pudding,
bacon, mushrooms, tomato and local free range eggs.
Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or lovage served on hot buttered toast.
Grilled local kippers with tomatoes.
Locally smoked haddock topped with a gently poached egg.
Hot mushrooms on toast.
Grilled Orkney cheddar cheese on toasted home made bread.
Boiled free range eggs.
Choice of traditional or herbal teas, coffee or decaffeinated coffee.

Fennel, mint & pea soup
served with homemade walnut bread
Locally hot smoked Scottish salmon accompanied by a mild horseradish cream
Ragout of Scottish venison
marinated in red wine, herbs and spices specially selected for game,
served with rowan jelly, a potato & swede mash
and a selection of fresh seasonal vegetables.
Cranachan, a dessert of Scottish raspberries,
Drambuie,a combination of cream & yoghurt,
and with a crunchy toasted oatmeal topping
Coffee & homemade Scottish tablet served in the lounge

Where possible, Julie will discuss the evening menu with guests earlier in the day.
We are happy to provide special diets if required and requested in advance.
As we are not licensed guests are welcome to bring their own wine to complement their evening meal.
