Travelling by Road
From the south, Edinburgh (247 miles), Glasgow (246 miles), head for the A9 and Inverness.
At Inverness continue along the A9 over the Kessock Bridge to the Tore Roundabout.
Take the second turning, signposted A835 and Ullapool.
After 37 miles (56kms) at Braemore Junction turn left onto the A832.
Continue for another 29 miles (48kms) to the village of Laide.
If coming from the south of England why not travel by train or by plane
and hire a car at the airport or station?
There are plenty of in-expensive offers if searched for early enough.
Travelling by Train
National Express East Coast operate one daily through service from London King’s Cross. There are a number of journeys from both London King’s Cross and London Euston to Inverness which require one or two changes. (Trains to Glasgow require a 5 to 10 minute walk to change station).
All trains stop at some intermediate stations between London and Scotland.
Travelling by Air
Inverness airport is the nearest airport and is served by Aeranann,
Bmi, Eastern Airways, Easyjet, FlyBe and Ryanair
with flights arriving from
London Luton, Gatwick and Heathrow, Belfast City,Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin,
East Midlands, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Southampton
Glasgow International, Glasgow Prestwick Aberdeen and Edinburgh have direct flights to many European cities and a small number of American and Canadian cities.
